Introduction: Consumer Rights
In any country, consumers constitute the main financial group. They are the axis around which all economic activity revolves. Consumer awareness refers to a consumer's understanding of numerous consumer production rules, remedies, consumer protection laws, the right to health care, and the right to be informed about the safety, quality, price, and purity of products and services acquired. Also, the goods' quality and the right to representation.
On December 9, 1986, the Lok Sabha enacted the Consumer Protection Act. It was established in order to better defend the interests of consumers. Except for those waived by the Central Government, this Protection Act covers all goods and services in the public, private, and cooperative sectors.
Consumer legislation provides a venue for a customer to file a complaint, take action against the supplier linked with the forum, and compensate the customer for the problems he or she has experienced. However, 34 years later, the Consumer Protection Act still has issues, and consumer protection in India is still debatable.
Consumer rights are legal protections against deception by dishonest merchants and service providers. Consumer rights are intended to maintain fair trade competition and the free flow of accurate information in the marketplace, as well as to give extra protection for the vulnerable and those who cannot talk for themselves. Consumer protection outlines these rights, and entities such as the government, consumer courts, and non-profit consumer organizations work to safeguard them.
Significance of the study on consumers awareness on their rights

The scope of the study is consumer rights awareness in India need to be generated across the country by creating awareness among the people regarding their rights and responsibilities from the consumers point of angle .The study was done by taking so consumers on the market.

- To spread necessary of awareness
- To examine their buying behavior and the problems faced by them
- To identify various consumer rights
- To assess consumer awareness among consumer regarding quality assurance markets and consumer rights
